Feather Falls Story

Gisela getting things set in the Ritchie's Hunter prior to launch

Rigging the Raven were Wade & Bettie Ann Hough, Brad Seaberg and Jim Forwalter

Michelle had some help rigging her new C-15 from Richard Silvera.

Wade & Bettie Ann towed us out of the "dead zone" to the Hwy. 162 bridge.

Jim and Michelle Marazzo accepted a tow to get to the windline near the bridge.

Paul & Gisela Ritchie's Hunter easily cleared the upswept end of the 162 bridge.

Michelle Caron and Richard Silvera sailed the C-15 well, snapping photos occasionally.

Jim Forwalter can be seen enjoying the view from the starboard rail of the Raven.

This view of the Raven shows Wade turning even deeper to go wing & wing.

Richard and Michelle making the most of the shifty 5-15 mph breeze

With the lake only 1 foot from the top, we had to watch out for low hanging tree limbs along the shoreline.

Raven was very fast running straight downwind, partly because of the incredible twist in her mainsail.

Commodore Barr looking relieved that the wind and sun were "perfect"

Jim and Michelle got to the falls first. The view was incredible.

The Barrs and the VanAlstynes anchored, picnicked and swam in a cove within view of the falls.

The Ritchies and Mike Maddox rafted up with friends and ate lunch on their patio boat.

Kelly, Chris and Grant Barr enjoying the tow home. We ate, we drank, we laughed. It was great.

Jim and Michelle Marazzo visited with us on the long tow home.

Nearing the marina, even the Hough's dogs enjoyed the afternoon air.

Grant enjoyed a little tiller time during the tow home. Dad gave him a few pointers now and then.

The GPS route was 15 miles one way to the falls!
