The carving table was not crowded this year. Maybe it was the cool, cloudy
weather. |
Ben Sevdy carving for at least his 15th consecutive year (he claims with
pride). |
Mark and Grant Barr (left) beside David and Andrew Streng |
Antonio was carving for the first time. |
His boat had quite
a bit of freeboard, in case the wind and waves increased. |
Grant was color coordinated for this day! |
David & Andrew Streng carving their winning boats |
Ben Sevdy fine tuned his rudder for straight tracking. |

We launched from the new kayak dock, so people didn't have to wade into
the chilly water. |
Ready, set, go! |

Some boats headed east, while others sailed in every direction. |
Kids racing were (L. to R.) Grant B., Antonio A. and David S. |
The fastest boat of the day was David's. |
David Streng was obviously pleased when he won race #1. |
Ben Sevdy's boat went with the "lighter is better" design. |
Andrew and David Streng took 2nd and 1st place respectively. |

Trophy winners: David 1st, Andrew 2nd, Ben 3rd, Grant 4th and Antonio
5th. Great job guys! |

This was the maiden voyage of Commodore Barr's Prindle 18-2 catamaran. |
Antonio loved doing "S" turns. |

He exclaimed, "This is the most fun I've ever had on the water." |
We sailed for about an hour in less than 5 mph wind. |
The boys held the boat while the trailer was backed down the ramp. |
Antonio looked good. It was almost as if he had done this before. |
