Only 2 boats showed up for this year's Black Butte
Fun Sail. From L. to R. here are Mike Maddox, Paul Ritchie and Jim Adams. |

Mark and Chris Barr sailed a Prindle 18-2 catamaran
on this beautiful day. Photo: Paul Ritchie

Chris had to sit forward on the lee side of our cat
to keep the trim right. The wind was light to start but built to about 10
mph by 2:00. |

Paul and crew practiced their spinnaker work with
the snowy coast range in the background.

|

With only two boats out on this day, I took photos
of Paul's Hunter from every angle...
|
...from behind and to leeward... |
...closer from leeward... |
...from directly astern... |
...overtaking to windward...
|
...passing to windward... |
...off the Hunters Starboard bow... |

The Hunter's assymetrical chute really performs
well... and looks fantastic.
|
By about 4:00 we were finally getting tired. It
had been a nice day tuning up for the Multihull Classic Catamaran Race
on May 6th & 7th.
|

Ranger Paul took his sails down and motored into
the dock.
|

Paul Ritchie snapped this photo of Chris and I sailing
by on our Prindle 18-2.
|

We both toured the lake and had a nice visit when
it was time to pack up for home. |
